ASAP Chinook Plus 2
These figures describe a typical build. Each aircraft of this design was built by its owner, and the one you are looking at may differ.
The Chinook Plus 2 is the two-seat version of the Canadian Birdman Chinook ultralight, built by ASAP of Vernon, British Columbia from 1989 to 2013 and supported in parts since: an aluminium-tube and fabric high-wing with a pusher Rotax of 50-80 hp, sold as a kit and as a Canadian advanced ultralight.
The Plus 2 is a Canadian ultralight-category aeroplane that crossed the border as a kit, and nothing beyond its engine options and production dates could be sourced in this research, so the aircraft's own documentation and weight-and-balance are the only figures; expect a 50-60 knot aeroplane with a two-stroke engine on most examples and the care and overhaul intervals that implies, or a heavier and longer-lived 912. Tubing and fabric age with sun and weather, and the pusher installation deserves a look at its mount and the propeller's clearance. A kit-built example is amateur-built with owner maintenance and an A&P or repairman condition inspection. Parts production ended in 2023, with a revival announced.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories. When accident record and severity cannot be scored because the model has too few records, the other three give a partial score out of 30, labelled as such; it is never set against a full score.
