BEECH 35-A33
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The Debonair A33, from the second year of Beechcraft's conventional-tail Bonanza. It is mechanically a Bonanza with a normal fin and tailplane, sold at a lower price to customers who did not want the V-tail, and it cruises at 160 knots on 225 hp.
Its advantage over a V-tail of the same age is that it escapes the ruddervator attachment airworthiness directive entirely, which is why straight-tail Bonanzas generally sell for slightly more. Everything else is common Bonanza: a Continental IO-470 that costs real money at overhaul, retractable gear maintenance, Beech parts pricing well above the equivalent Cessna or Piper item, and 13 to 14 gallons an hour. Insurers expect a Bonanza-specific transition course, which is worth taking.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
