BEECH V35-TC
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The V35-TC is the turbocharged V-tail Bonanza: a V35 with a 285 hp Continental TSIO-520-D in place of the normally aspirated IO-520-B, which buys a service ceiling in the high twenties and a true airspeed close to 200 knots up there. Beech built turbocharged V-tails in small numbers and they are the fastest piston singles the company made before the B36TC.
Turbocharging on a Bonanza is a real capability and a real bill. The turbocharger, wastegate, exhaust and intercooler plumbing are all additional maintenance, the cylinders run hotter than a normally aspirated IO-520's, and a cracked turbo exhaust on a pressurised system is a serious finding rather than a snag. There is no cabin pressurisation, so using the altitude means oxygen for everyone aboard on every flight, which people underestimate before they buy. Everything else is Bonanza ownership: superb build quality, high parts prices, and a type club that is worth joining before the purchase rather than after.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
