Aircraft model
CESSNA 210B
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The 1962 Centurion, a detail development of the original 210 with the same 260 hp fuel-injected Continental and strut-braced wing. It is a fast four-seat retractable for the money and the earliest generation of an aeroplane that later grew into a six-seat 300 hp machine.
Everything about buying one is about the gear and the spar. The early hydraulic retraction system with its gear-well doors is the most complicated version Cessna built and needs a full swing and a maintenance history review. The 2020 wing spar carry-through airworthiness directive applies to the series and must be verified. Beyond that it is a sixty-year-old airframe where corrosion, damage history and engine provenance decide the price, and where the panel will almost certainly need replacing.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
