CESSNA 525A
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The Citation CJ2, a stretched CitationJet with more powerful Williams engines, a longer wing and room for six or seven passengers. It cruises at 418 knots to 45,000 feet and flies 1,600 nautical miles, which makes it a genuine coast-to-region business aeroplane rather than a short-hop machine. The CJ2 proper was delivered from 2000 to 2005 with FJ44-2C engines; from 2006 the same designation is the CJ2+, with FADEC-controlled FJ44-3A-24 engines and TCAS and terrain warning as standard on the Pro Line 21 deck, so a 2004 and a 2007 aircraft differ in engine control and standard equipment though not in airframe.
It is the middle of the CJ range and, for many owners, the sweet spot: meaningfully more capable than an M2 without the price of a CJ3. It is single-pilot certified and shares the CE-525 type rating with every other aircraft in the family, which is a real operational advantage. The compromises are familiar — a cabin without a stand-up aisle, a payload that shrinks as the tanks fill, and jet operating costs that include two engines on a maintenance programme, recurrent training and hangarage. Against a CJ3 it gives up range and cabin length; against an M2 it gains both.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
