DASSAULT AVIATION FALCON 2000EX
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The Falcon 2000EX is a large-cabin twin from Dassault, whose business jets are built by a company that also makes fighter aircraft and which shows in the wing: it is more heavily engineered than its competitors, with leading-edge slats that give it landing performance no other aeroplane of this size can match. It carries eight to ten passengers 3,800 nautical miles at 470 knots, and it will land in 2,350 feet, which is extraordinary for a 41,000 lb aircraft.
That short-field capability is the reason operators choose it over a Challenger or a Gulfstream — it opens airports the competition cannot use. It is a two-crew aeroplane belonging to a flight department. Costs are large-cabin costs: two PW308C engines, around 260 gallons an hour, hangarage for a big airframe, and Dassault's parts pricing, which is not cheap. Dassault's support network is smaller than Textron's or Gulfstream's but is well regarded by the operators who use it. The EASy flight deck on the EX is a significant improvement over the earlier 2000 and is part of what separates the two on the used market.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
