DASSAULT-BREGUET FALCON 10
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The Falcon 10 is the smallest Dassault jet, essentially a scaled-down Falcon 20, and it is widely regarded as the best-handling business jet ever built — the flight controls came from a company that was designing Mirage fighters at the same time. It carries seven passengers 1,800 nautical miles at 430 knots.
It is also the cheapest way to own a business jet, and the reason for that is the reason to be careful. Purchase prices of a few hundred thousand dollars attract buyers who then discover that the aircraft costs the same to maintain as it always did: two TFE731 overhauls, a FAR 25 maintenance programme, a type rating, and an airframe now forty to fifty years old. Dassault's parts support remains genuinely good, which is more than can be said for most jets of the era. The economics only work with real annual utilisation.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
