EMBRAER S A EMB-545
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The EMB-545 covers the Legacy 450 and its Praetor 500 development: a midsize Embraer jet with a flat-floor stand-up cabin, full fly-by-wire flight controls — rare in this size class — and 3,340 nautical miles of range in Praetor form. It carries seven to nine passengers at 466 knots. The Legacy 450 was delivered from 2015; from 2019 the aircraft is the Praetor 500, recorded on the type certificate as the EMB-545 modified with taller winglets, additional wing fuel and the Pro Line Fusion deck with synthetic vision, which turned a 2,900-mile aeroplane into one that crosses the United States non-stop. A 2017 aircraft is a Legacy 450; a 2020 is a Praetor 500.
Fly-by-wire is the distinguishing feature and it brings envelope protection and a noticeably lighter workload on a two-crew aeroplane. The Praetor 500 added winglets and extra fuel, turning a midsize aircraft into one that crosses the United States non-stop. It is a corporate flight department aeroplane with the costs that implies: two HTF7500E engines, around 230 gallons an hour, a hangar, two pilots and recurrent training. As a recent type the used market is thin and values track delivery position rather than condition.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
