The T-34 Mentor, Beechcraft's tandem two-seat military primary trainer built 1953-1958 on Bonanza wings and landing gear with a new fuselage and sliding canopy. The A45 is the USAF T-34A (also the civil Model 45); the D-45 is the US Navy T-34B. Surplus aircraft have been on the civil register for decades.
