The Viking, built 1967-1980: a four-seat retractable with a wooden wing and a 300 hp engine that cruises at 180-185 knots, faster than a Bonanza on the same power. The 17-30 and 17-30A Super Viking have the Continental IO-520; the 17-31, 17-31A and turbocharged 17-31ATC the Lycoming IO-540. Type certificate A18CE.
