The Cassutt Special is Tom Cassutt's single-seat Formula One racer of the early 1950s, a 15 ft span steel-tube-and-wood aeroplane built from plans around a 100 hp Continental O-200: 500 lb empty, 850 lb gross and a quoted 248 mph maximum, with the longer-winged Sport the version for everyday flying.
