The Scout, the utility member of the Champion family: a 180 hp two-seat tandem taildragger with flaps, a longer wing and a 2,150 lb gross weight, built for glider towing, banner towing, patrol and backcountry work rather than sport. Bellanca introduced it in 1974 and American Champion has built it with metal wing spars since the early 1990s.
