The SR22, the best-selling piston aeroplane in the world for most of the last twenty years: a 310 hp composite single with fixed gear, side-stick controls, a large glass panel and a whole-airframe parachute, cruising at about 180 knots. The turbocharged SR22T (2010 on) cruises at 213 knots in the low flight levels. Cirrus numbers its generations (G1 to G7) and a buyer should know which one they are looking at.
