Cozy Mark IV
1 model built 1992 · 114 on the US register today
The Cozy Mark IV, Nat Puffer's four-seat canard pusher derived, with Burt Rutan's approval, from the two-seat Long-EZ and introduced in the early 1990s: a plans-built foam-and-fibreglass aeroplane with a 28 ft main wing, side-by-side front seats and two behind, a 180 hp Lycoming O-360, fixed main gear with a retractable nosewheel and a belly landing brake in place of flaps. Plans and parts come from Aircraft Spruce; about 350 had been built by 2015, and the design's support site gives 2,050 lb gross, 220 mph maximum and 1,350 miles with reserve.
