The Fairchild 24, a 1930s three/four-seat cabin monoplane revived after the war as the 24R-46 (175-200 hp Ranger inverted inline six) and 24W-46 (165 hp Warner Super Scarab radial), built 1946-48. The A and S suffixes are registry spellings of the same aircraft; the UC-61 Argus was the wartime military version.
