The Fairchild M-62 family, the wartime primary trainer with a low wing, tandem open cockpits and an inverted inline Ranger engine instead of the usual radial: the M-62 (PT-19), the M-62A (PT-19A) with the 200 hp L-440-3, the radial-engined M-62A-3 (PT-23) and the enclosed-cockpit M-62A-4 (PT-26 Cornell) built for Commonwealth training.
