Globe / Temco GC-1 Swift

The Globe Swift, a two-seat all-metal retractable-gear taildragger from 1946 that looks like a scaled-down wartime fighter: 125 hp (GC-1B), 120 knots and a sliding canopy. Globe built it until its 1947 bankruptcy, after which Temco built about 260 more to 1951; the type certificate is now held by the Swift Museum Foundation.
