The Lake amphibian, the only light amphibian produced in numbers in the United States: a four-seat hull aircraft with the engine on a pylon above the fuselage, descended from the Colonial Skimmer. The LA-4 (type-certified 1960) has 180 hp; the LA-4-200 Buccaneer (1970-80) 200 hp. The registry records it under the Lake and Consolidated Aeronautics names.
