Lancair Legacy

The Lancair Legacy, introduced at AirVenture 1999 as the Legacy 2000 and the modernised successor to the Lancair 320/360: a two-seat composite low-wing with a bubble canopy, a 25.6 ft wing of 82 sq ft on Cole aerofoils and retractable (RG) or fixed (FG) tricycle gear, for engines of 200-310 hp with the 310 hp Continental IO-550 standard. The RG cruises at 276 mph at 8,000 ft and the FG at 215 mph; four Legacys won Grand Champion Kit Built at AirVenture between 2012 and 2016. Lancair ended kit production in 2016 and sold the line in 2017 to Lancair International of Uvalde, Texas.
