The Luscombe 8 Silvaire, built 1938-1949 by Luscombe, then briefly by Temco and by Silvaire Aircraft of Colorado (1956-60): a two-seat side-by-side taildragger with an all-metal fuselage when nearly everything else was fabric. The Model 8 had 50 hp, the 8A 65 hp and fabric wings, the 8E 85 hp with metal wings and more fuel, and the 8F 90 hp.
