The Pawnee, Piper's agricultural aeroplane built 1959-1982: a single-seat tailwheel machine with a chemical hopper ahead of the cockpit and a structure designed to protect the pilot in a low-level impact. The original had 150 hp, the PA-25-235 (and B, C and D series) 235 hp, the PA-25-260 260 hp; a large proportion of survivors now tow gliders.
