The Seneca, Piper's six-seat light twin built since 1971 and a standard multi-engine trainer worldwide: counter-rotating engines eliminate the critical engine. The Seneca I (PA-34-200) has normally aspirated 200 hp Lycomings; the Seneca II (PA-34-200T, 1975-81) turbocharged Continentals; the PA-34-220T designation covers the Seneca III (1981), IV (1994) and V (1997 on) with 220 hp engines.
