The Pitts S-2, the two-seat version of Curtis Pitts's competition biplane, type-certified in 1971 and built at Afton, Wyoming by Aerotek/Pitts Aerobatics (S-2, S-2A, 200 hp), Christen Industries (S-2B, 260 hp, 1983-91) and Aviat (S-2B to 1998, then the S-2C with redesigned wings and tail). The registry records all three company names.
