Quicksilver GT 400

The Quicksilver GT 400, the single-seat strut-braced pusher that Quicksilver of Temecula, California has sold since 1984, originally as the GT: a 30 ft Dacron-covered aluminium-tube wing, tricycle gear, a 40-50 hp Rotax 447 or 503 two-stroke behind the pilot, about 276-306 lb empty and 570 lb gross, assembled from the kit in 70-125 hours; 530 had flown by 2011. Many are flown as Part 103 ultralights and only those an owner chose to register appear on the register. The two-seat tandem GT 500 of 1990, the first aircraft certified in the FAA primary category (1994), is a separate design.
