The Rans S-21 Outbound, introduced at AirVenture 2016 and first flown in December 2017: Rans's all-metal side-by-side two-seater, a strut-braced high-wing of 28 ft built from matched-hole aluminium sheet with extruded spars, convertible tricycle or tailwheel gear, tundra tyres to 26 inches and the 180 hp Titan X-340 as the standard engine. It carries 815 lb useful at an 1,800 lb amateur-built gross weight and gained S-LSA approval in March 2018 with Rotax 912, Lycoming YO-233 and Titan engines.
