The Monnett Sonerai, John Monnett's Volkswagen-powered mid-wing plans designs of the 1970s: the single-seat Sonerai I Formula V racer of 1971 and the tandem two-seat Sonerai II of the same decade, built with folding wings as the II, the low-wing II-L, the tricycle II-LT and the stretched II-LS and II-LTS; Jane's figures for the II are 500 lb empty, 1,150 lb gross, 120 knots on 65-70 hp and a 38-knot stall.
