Stolp Starduster Too SA-300
1 model built 1965 · 237 on the US register today
The Stolp Starduster Too SA-300, Lou Stolp's two-seat open-cockpit sport biplane of the 1960s: a 4130 steel-tube fuselage with fabric covering and wooden wings of 24 ft span with spruce spars and plywood ribs, stressed to plus and minus 6 g for basic aerobatics rather than competition. The base engine is a 180 hp Lycoming O-360, though builders have fitted everything from Continentals and Rangers to an IO-540 and a Pratt & Whitney R-985; Aircraft Spruce now holds the plans. The scaled-down, 9 g Acroduster and Acroduster Too were the follow-on designs.
