MAULE M-7-235B
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The M-7-235B is a current-production Maule: the long-wing four-seat taildragger with 235 hp, 70 gallons of fuel and a lengthened cabin over the M-6. It is the standard Maule configuration and what most buyers of a new one choose.
It does what every Maule does — gets off in a few hundred feet, lands shorter, and carries four people and gear into places nothing else with four seats will reach. The B suffix denotes a particular propeller and equipment combination among several closely related M-7 variants, which is where Maule's designation system becomes confusing; confirm exactly which you are looking at. Fabric is the recurring cost. The company still builds and supports these, which is a real advantage over most fabric aeroplanes.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
