PILATUS AIRCRAFT LTD PC-24
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The PC-24 is the only business jet designed from the start to operate from unpaved runways, and the only one in its class with a large cargo door. Pilatus built it to do what the PC-12 does — reach places other aircraft cannot — but at 440 knots, and it will use grass, gravel and short strips that no other jet is approved for.
That combination has no direct competitor, which is the entire commercial argument and why the order book was closed within days of opening. It carries eight passengers 2,000 nautical miles, is certified single-pilot, and has a flat-floor cabin. The costs are jet costs: two Williams FJ44-4A engines, around 165 gallons an hour, hangarage and recurrent training. As a recent type the used market is thin and prices sit close to new, so values are set by delivery position rather than condition.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
