Aircraft model
TEXTRON AVIATION INC 680A
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The Citation Latitude, in production since 2015, is built on the Sovereign's wing and engines but with an entirely new fuselage: a flat-floor, stand-up cabin six feet tall and six feet wide, which is unusual at this size and is the reason the aeroplane sells. It carries nine passengers 2,700 nautical miles at 446 knots, with an airstair door and a proper lavatory.
It has been one of the best-selling midsize jets of the last decade and dominates the fractional fleets, which means used examples are plentiful and well documented but often carry high cycles. It is a two-crew aeroplane in practice. The cabin is what you are paying for: it is quieter and more comfortable than anything else at this price, and passengers notice. Costs are midsize-jet costs — two PW306D1 engines on a programme, around 205 gallons an hour, hangarage, two pilots and recurrent training. Note that it needs its own type rating rather than sharing the Sovereign's, which matters to a mixed fleet.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
