TEXTRON AVIATION INC B300C
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The King Air B300, sold as the King Air 350, is the largest of the family: a stretched 200 with winglets, 1,050 shp engines, 312 knots and 1,800 nautical miles of range. Built under the Beech Aircraft Corporation name, these are the earlier 350s from the 1990s.
The 350 is the aeroplane most corporate flight departments settle on when a light jet is too expensive to run and a 200 is too small. It carries nine passengers in a stand-up cabin, gets into short runways a jet cannot use, and is supported everywhere. The costs are real: a BE-300 type rating, two PT6A-60A overhauls, about 120 gallons an hour, and the maintenance programme of a 15,000 lb aircraft. Nineties airframes are cheap to buy relative to current ones but carry older avionics, and a Pro Line or Garmin retrofit is a very large cheque.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories.
