Gulfstream Aerospace GVIII-G700

Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.

The Gulfstream G700 is the company's flagship: the longest cabin in business aviation at nearly 57 feet, five living areas, Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and 7,750 nautical miles of range at 516 knots. It entered service in 2023 after a lengthy certification and competes directly with the Bombardier Global 7500.

This is the extreme end of the market and the operating model matches: three crew on long sectors, a dedicated hangar, and costs that are a rounding error to the kind of organisation that buys one. What it delivers is genuinely non-stop intercontinental flying with a cabin altitude around 4,000 feet at 51,000 feet, which is the difference between arriving rested and not. Very few are on the used market and values are set almost entirely by delivery position. Gulfstream's support network remains the industry benchmark.

  1. Accident record: class median 1.23 · 42 models in class.
  2. Severity: class median 10.
  3. Access: class median 9,850.
  4. Support: class median 197.5.
  5. Liquidity: class median 32.81.
  6. Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories. When accident record and severity cannot be scored because the model has too few records, the other three give a partial score out of 30, labelled as such; it is never set against a full score.
