Remos G-3 Mirage

Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.

The Remos G-3 Mirage is the German composite high-wing two-seater of 1997 that preceded the Remos GX, built as the G3, G3 Mirage S, RS, RS/L and, from 2004, the G3/600, with Rotax 912 engines of 80-100 hp or a Jabiru 2200; the GX of 2006 is its development with a new wing.

A G-3 is the older, cheaper Remos and the one with the thinnest factory support, since Remos's later difficulties left early owners dependent on the GX parts chain and the owner community; nothing beyond the engine options and the model history could be sourced here, so the aircraft's own manual and weight-and-balance are the numbers to use. It shares the GX's virtues - a wide cabin, folding wings, a Rotax - in an earlier airframe, and most US examples are the G3/600 sold as S-LSA around 2005-08. As an S-LSA it is maintained to Remos's manual by an A&P or LSA repairman; earlier E-LSA or experimental examples differ.

  6. Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories. When accident record and severity cannot be scored because the model has too few records, the other three give a partial score out of 30, labelled as such; it is never set against a full score.
