Remos GX
Everything here is true of every aircraft of the type, not of any one aircraft.
The Remos GX is the German carbon-fibre high-wing light-sport two-seater of 2006, the development of the G-3 Mirage with a new wing and a more integrated fuselage: 705 lb empty, 1,320 lb gross, folding wings, a Rotax 912ULS and Remos's figures of 107 knots cruise, a 38-knot stall, 1,280 fpm and 480 nm on 21 gallons; the GXNXT of 2011 is the current version.
The GX sold well to US flight schools and private owners in the light-sport boom and then suffered from Remos's financial troubles, so parts and factory support have been intermittent and a buyer should check what the current Remos company and its US dealer can actually supply before counting on it. The aeroplane itself is one of the nicer LSA to fly, with a 615 lb useful load, a wide cabin and wings that fold for storage, and most examples are now mid-time trainers or privately owned tourers. The carbon structure is inspected for finish damage and repairs; the Rotax is universal. As an S-LSA it is maintained to Remos's manual by an A&P or LSA repairman.

- Each of the five categories places the model within its peer class, from 0 (the worst of the class) to 10 (the best): a position among comparable models, not a grade. The overall score is the sum of the categories shown that are scored, out of 10 for each (50 when all five are); it is given only when at least 4 of the five are scored, and it can be set against another model's only when both are in the same peer class and scored on the same categories. When accident record and severity cannot be scored because the model has too few records, the other three give a partial score out of 30, labelled as such; it is never set against a full score.
