The Boeing-Stearman Model 75 Kaydet, the wartime primary trainer built in thousands and sold off cheaply after the war to become the definitive cropduster: an open-cockpit biplane with two tandem seats, a steel-tube fuselage and wire bracing. All share one airframe on type certificate A-743; the designations encode the engine — A75N1 (PT-17) with the Continental R-670, B75N1 (N2S-3), E75 (PT-13D/N2S-5) with the Lycoming R-680, A75J1 with a Jacobs, and the L3/L300 suffixes for Lycoming conversions including the 300 hp cropdusting engine.
