North American T-28 Trojan

The North American T-28 Trojan, the postwar primary and basic trainer that replaced the T-6: tricycle retractable gear, tandem seats under a long canopy and a radial engine. The T-28A (1950-53) is the USAF version with an 800 hp R-1300; the T-28B (1954-57) the Navy version with a 1,425 hp Wright R-1820; the T-28C adds a tailhook for carrier training.
