The Husky, Aviat's modern answer to the Super Cub, designed from scratch by Christen Industries in the 1980s and certified in May 1987: a two-seat tandem taildragger with 180 hp, big flaps and 50 gallons of fuel. The A-1 (1,800 lb), A-1A and A-1B (1998, higher weights), and A-1C-180 and A-1C-200 (2007, 2,200 lb) differ mainly in gross weight and engine; the registry records the same aircraft under Christen, Aviat Inc and Aviat Aircraft Inc.
