Grumman G-164 Ag Cat

3 models built 1957–1981 · 359 on the US register today

The Ag Cat, Grumman's agricultural biplane, type-certified in 1959 and built under contract by Schweizer, which bought the line outright in 1981 and built it until 1995: a radial engine, a chemical hopper between engine and cockpit and a structure built to survive low-level work. The G-164A (1966) has the 450 hp R-985; the G-164B (1974 on) a larger span and longer fuselage. The registry records the same aircraft under Grumman, Grumman-Schweizer and Schweizer names.
