The fixed-gear PA-28 Cherokee line, in production since 1961 on type certificate 2A13: Piper's low-wing answer to the Cessna 172. The constant-chord 'Hershey bar' wing Cherokees (140, 150, 160, 180) ran 1961-1977; the tapered-wing Warrior (PA-28-151 of 1974, PA-28-161 Warrior II/III from 1977) and Archer (PA-28-181 from 1976, Archer II/III/LX/DX) carry the line to the present, the Archer with the Garmin G1000 since 2008. The PA-28S-180 is the floatplane and PA-28-140FL a registry spelling.
