The two-seat Grumman American line, built 1969-1978 on type certificate A11EA: a sliding-canopy, bonded-aluminium sports aeroplane with a very short wing, designed by Jim Bede and built by American Aviation (AA-1 Yankee, 1969-71; AA-1A Trainer, 1971-72), Grumman American (AA-1B Trainer/TR-2, 1973-76) and Gulfstream American (AA-1C Lynx/T-Cat, 1977-78). Quick for its 108-115 hp and more fun than a Cessna 150.
