Cessna's first light twin, built 1955-1980: a six-seat low-wing twin with tip tanks and 240-285 hp Continentals, fast for its power at around 190-220 knots. The letters are model years: the swept tail arrived on the 310D (1960), the canted slimline tip tanks on the 310G (1962), turbocharged T310 versions from the 310P (1969) and the lengthened nose of the 310R (1975-80). The 310A and 310E are the USAF L-27/U-3 military versions.
