The Skylane, in production since 1956 and the standard four-seat high-performance Cessna: a 230 hp Continental O-470 (Lycoming IO-540 from the 182S restart in 1997), a constant-speed propeller and the ability to carry four adults and bags. The letters are model years with incremental changes — swept tail (182C), Omni-Vision window (182E), Camber-Lift wing (182P), 28-volt system (182Q), 3,100 lb gross weight (182R). The turbocharged T182 (1981-86) and T182T (2001 on) and the retractable R182/TR182 Skylane RG (1978-86) all sit on the same type certificate (3A13) and are included here.
